Box Office Collection on Day 3

As reported by Sacnilk, Bhool Chuk Maaf garnered approximately Rs 11.25 crore on its third day, bringing its total earnings to Rs 27.75 crore, with a notable increase in ticket sales on Sunday.

On the other hand, Kesari Veer struggled significantly, earning only Rs 32 lakh on its third day, resulting in a total of just Rs 0.88 crore.

Controversy Surrounding Bhool Chuk Maaf

Bhool Chuk Maaf faced controversy when its producers initially planned for a direct OTT release. PVR Inox issued a legal notice to Maddock Films and Pen Marudhar following this decision. The filmmakers opted for a digital release due to the current circumstances and increased security measures across the nation.

An insider revealed, 'They are not obligated to justify their actions. Cinemas in Jodhpur and Punjab are closed, while theaters in Delhi are not operating night shows. With the IPL cancellation, it was logical for the producers to postpone Bhool Chuk Maaf's release. Given the global distribution of KDMs, piracy concerns also influenced the decision to move to a direct-to-digital release.'

According to Bollywood Hungama, PVR Inox contended that the direct OTT release violated their binding agreement established on May 6, 2025, which stipulated a theatrical release followed by an 8-week exclusivity period before any digital launch.

Following its theatrical run, Bhool Chuk Maaf is set to premiere on Prime Video and features a talented cast, including Sanjay Mishra, Seema Bhargava Pahwa, Zakir Hussain, Raghubir Yadav, Ishtiyak Khan, Anubha Fateh Puria, Jay Thakkar, and Pragati Mishra in key roles.
